Brock Bowers Is a Generational Talent. It's Time to Say It Out Loud.

Brock Bowers does things that tight ends are not supposed to do. He runs routes like a wide receiver, blocks like a fullback, and catches the football with the kind of soft hands that coaches spend careers trying to teach. At 22 years old, he is already the best tight end in the AFC West. The argument that he is the best in the conference is not far behind.

Through three games, Bowers has 16 receptions for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns. His yards after catch numbers are absurd. His separation rate is elite. And perhaps most impressively, he is doing all of this while defenses know exactly where he is lined up.

Kirk Cousins has found his security blanket, and it is a 6-foot-4 weapon that defenses have no answer for. The Raiders are going to go as far as Bowers allows them to go. Right now, that ceiling looks very, very high.
